Order Mantodea (mantids)

20, 21. PRAYING MANTIDS, Stagmomantis and Tenodera species (Mantodea: Mantidae). Adults can be killed by heat, freezing or using a killing agent, pinned through the thorax and mounted. Immature nymphs should be preserved in alcohol. Egg masses can be preserved dry (after immatures hatch) or in alcohol.
